What's new in Lore.

Version 3.5 · music on the big screen

August 2026

Cast a round and the soundtrack now comes out of the TV, so the music fills the room while your phone stays the controller. Picking a bed in Settings is immediate too: tap one and it plays on the spot.

Version 3.3 · the curtain rises

July 2026

Lore now opens with a brief Zone7 Studios ident, a couple of seconds of curtain up before the shelves appear. One tap skips it, and it does not play when you come back mid-session. Lore is also up to date for Android 16.

Version 3.2 · any way you hold it

July 2026

Lore now rotates. Play in landscape on a tablet, a phone on a stand or a foldable half-open, and a round in progress keeps its timer and its music when you turn the screen. The layout also keeps clear of notches and navigation bars either way up.

Rounds now have a soundtrack: Study Hall's warm lo-fi, Game Night's light quiz-show pulse, and Aurora's ambient shimmer, looping quietly under the questions for as long as you think. Pick one in Settings and it previews on the spot, or switch it off and keep the room to yourself. Answers speak too, with a warm chime when you are right and a gentle kalimba when you are not.

Version 2 · the Easy shelf

July 2026

Every category gains a fourth, gentler shelf: Easy, warm and familiar questions for winding down or playing with family. Every category is free at Easy, five are free at Medium, and casting to your TV is now free for everyone. Timed mode gained a soft ticking clock, Lore now installs on Google TV, and you can leave a round at any time and step back to the shelves.

Version 1 · first release

July 2026

The first release: ten categories, three difficulty shelves, Tonight's Round, and a question library that keeps growing. Untimed by default with an optional timed mode, a true-black display for OLED screens, full TalkBack support, and casting to put the question board on your TV while your phone stays the controller. Lore Pro opens the Hard and Expert shelves and the Grand Round.
